    Problem switching channels

I have a rear projection LCD and DirecTV HD receiver. I run video from the receiver to TV using component video cable, which is on Component 1 on the TV. When I switch channels, the channel comes on, then the TV screen goes black and shows "Component 1". Then the channel comes back on. Does anyone have any idea why this happens. It's not a big deal, but it's very annoying. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you try another tv with that receiver just to see if the box is working?
Does the LCD work with any other source?

Have you changed any settings in the menu/s?
Check to make sure the video is assigned properly.

is your direct TV remote also set up to do things on your TV? Some times if you have TV selected on your direct remote it messes things up. Me and my wife have dish. In our bedroom we some times forget to select "sat" on the dish remote, and crazy things happen.

I would check what uncle says first though.

        welcome to the Guide!

Its your box, I had a box similar to that from Comcast, it was like a delay, replaced it with a PVR box, no more issue. I noticed it only did it with components, if I hooked it up via coax it worked fine. I think its the internal design of the unit.
