    Pioneer CRT Problem

Hello All! I have a Pioneer SD582HD5 58" Widescreen CRT TV that I am having a little problem with, I have noticed that when the credits roll on Video where the background is black and the letters are white you get lines next to the lettering that go out across the screen that are a lighter grey than the black background, this also happens when the background is white and the words are black. Anyone ever hear of this type of thing? Its a little annoying when watching regular TV. :tv:

Try turning the contrast down, that might help.

Also, you could have dust/dirt on the lenses, which could be making it worse.

Yeah, alreday tried that along with the black level and convergence. But the dust issue I have not looked at, I will have to check that out.

For those who were asking, here's a "hard" copy of the review. This PJ is one that I've been looking at for a while, and finding good stuff.

Possible problems with a Pioneer Elite Pro-610hd crt-rptv. Any suggestions?
        by Jeremy77
I have a Pioneer Elite Pro-610hd hd-crt-rptv and recently I noticed horizontal lines going through the picture. The lines are the most defined any time the tv has a solid color or plain white background on the program material be it dvd or hdtv. It is hard to describe this in words, but it looks like...

        DUST?

Wondering how members handle dust? DUST is a very important part of the care and maintainence of ALL your electronic equipment. It can cause real problems, especially with power supplys and amplifiers.

        1) Amps and power section with a nice layer of dust run hotter.
        2) If your...

        Black background?
        by Razvan
Has anybody tried to select black background in the Superimpose section of the OSD Setup sub-menu? When Black is selected the OSD menu is supposed to be "displayed on a black background at all times". I tried that on my unit but it doesn't seem to work i.e. I can't change the background color...

800 Series - Which Black do you prefer?
        by scanido
There seems to be a lot of turbulence on the direction B&W has chosen for their new black finish of the new 800 Series. I created this Poll out of curiosity to see which finish is more popular - Black Ash or Piano Black.

If the results for Black Ash are overwhelmingly positive, maybe...
