The Fall/Winter Canadian Sears catalogue arrived over the weekend, and guess what. In the tv section they feature a Toshiba dlp front projector with an 80" screen for $1999. Power to the FP people :T

If you like that wait till InFocus post their losses and start dumping front Projectors at costco and the other mass mrkt. bunch.
I expect we'll see scads & scads of lowend projectors all over the market for under a grand (US) in a few months. -

The operative phrase at this year’s CEDIA show was 1080P, as in 1920 x 1080 native resolution displays.... -
Of course this was inevitable after the rear projection DLP 1080p displays were announced. :T But the BIG question will be the FPTV unit pricing.

My main impression at CEDIA this year, at least when it comes to projectors, was that it was mainly a repeat of last year’s show. I saw many of the same pieces trotted... -

Ok first let me apologize up-front for my lack of knowledge on front projectors.
What little video knowledge I have is on rptv. I am trying to find out if it is even feasible for me to get a projector. The way my room is set up my viewing distance form the screen would be limited to 11-12 feet...
