Green tinti on Infocus 4805

Hi I am using an Infocus 4805 projector with the Comcast HDTV receiver (Motorola DCT 6200) - I am interested in getting true HD quality TV - with my current component cable at 1080i and 720P resolution, the image appears but no colors - all I can see is images in a green tint. The colors only appear on 480P which ofcourse is not true HD

I was wondering if other people have had the same problem and if anyone here has a resolution for the same - could it be happening because of Component Cable and do I need to upgrade to DVI cable for True HD. Any help from the Gurus here would be greatly appreciated.

You won't see "true HD" on your 4805 since its native resolution is 480p. 720p and 1080i look great (there's more to HD than just more pixels), much better even than DVD, but it's not "true HD".
I can't imagine why you're getting those results, if it were a cable mixup I'd expect it to be at all resolutions. Double-check your cables anyway.
My Motorola 5100 HD box from Comcast doesn't have a good DVI output, it exhibits sparklies when set to anything over 480p. I'd try DVI on your 6200, though, should be better than component.

I've had the same green tint thing happen intermittently when I switch from DVD to my HD cable box(also a DCT-6200)(I use my Rotel RSP-1068 for my video switching via component video).All you have to do is hit the "Auto Image" button on the remote of the 4805.I've had the occasional time where I've had to do the re-synch 2 or 3 times to get it to take.It's just a software glitch.I also noticed it doesn't happen when my HD box is set to 1080i only when set to 720p.Hope this helps. :T

Good hint on the "auto-image". I sometimes have to hit it to get synch it if I switch to 720p on the XBox.
