Hanging a projector question

First I must say this site is great. On to the questions...

I have a Sanyo PLV-Z2 projector and a DA-Lite 52 X 92 screen. According to the projector calculator I should hang this 13 feet 9 inches from the screen. My question is if I want to watch everything in progressive scan is the image going to fit or am I going to have to move the projector back farther? Any help or advice with this would be most appreciative.

The signal type (progressive, interlaced, or HDTV) makes no difference in the throw distance of the projector. You do have a margin of error in the throw distance due to the adjustable zoom on the lens.

You should be able to tweak the size of your image using the zoom. Depending on the amount of zoom available on the PJ, you might be able to put the PJ closer than calculated. The only way to know for certain is to actually try it, but your calc's are a great starting point.

That distance seems far away to me. I have mine at only 13'6" for my 110" diagonal screen. This is zoom half way.

your distance seems like it would be with zoom all the way down low.

I would try to take the minimum and maximum distance and center it.
