    Sony SRX-R110 4k Resolution Projector

I can't find any information about the Sony SRX-R110 4k Resolution Projector online. How much does it cost? Could I purchase one for home installation or is it strictly for commercial use?

The specs really impressed me and I eventually want to replace the projector I bought last year but the technology doesn't get any better until I saw this guy here.

Basically I want to rival the best HDTV's with a projector. Right now I'm running in 720p in my theatre, but it in NO WAY compares to an HDTV set.

    Thanks,

    Ed

This one is designed for commercial projection, and pricing is comparable to a nice home in many states, though not in California where I live...

But it sure be nice to have the loot to own one, hey, Jon ? As well as a house big enough to accomodate it.

If you can afford it, Ed, the Sony Qualia is supposed to be quite the rig.

look into runco. we have one displayed next to the Qualia, and the comparably priced runco wins. the sony is good, but runco is still king. if you are looking to rival the best hdtv's out there, any runco from the vx1000 on up will do ($17K). but if you have a really good eye and are looking for the best, expect to spend in the $50k range.

Finally, after many many years, I have actually completed:

The Kipnis Studio Standard Screening Experience

A movie and music lovers dream come true!

The centerpiece of this audio/video extravaganza is the Sony SRX-R110 Cine Alta 4k projector.

This article details some of the technical innovations I have created:

And these are several pictures of the finished Cinema:

It creates and an incredibly bright, sharp, and photo accurate image that's got to be seen to be believed!

Please let me know what you think.

          Cheers -

It's a wonderfully over the top design for the who's who crowd @ cough, 2 million starting price, please do watch commercial content here unless you wish to advertise. Also, your username is now your name.

Jeremy, as someone with Nikon pro grade camera gear, I can sure tell you that overall photo is not to accurate to be believed. If you are going to show a system like that off, you need a professional photograher's touch. Amateur photos don't do it justice-

This is just a test photo, I think you can see the resolution difference- Well, some of your shots weren't to bad, but that overall image, is seriously lacking resolution.

              Jeremy,

The theater reminds me of the kind of killer HT setup that someone who just won a BIG LOTTERY would buy just because it was over-the-top cool.

As for the earlier question, the 10K lumens, Sony SRX-R110 costs $98K MSRP.
It sounds pretty pricey, but high brightness, digital theater DLP projectors have long been around the $100K mark, plus $20K for the anamorphic lens.

              Thanks for the pics. :T

Nice, Jeremy! I got to see a 4Kp projector from JVC at CEDIA this year, which was really nice. I love the sound isolation pegs on the stands, too.

I just caught your layout in HTMag, wow!!! Quite an impressive setup. My hat is off to you ;x( .

I do have one question, is it possible for levitation to occur if you sit in the sweetspot?

                        Yes!

In fact, I suspect with a little bit more effort, we'll actually be able to attain Warp Speed!

But seriously, with a well balanced mix for a film, concert, SACD, DVD-A, CD, or even Lp, the sound moves through you, just as it does if you are there live.

                        It's spine tingling!!!

I think it is just awesome that it's been done. Lot's of people in other forums have been trashing it and him for building it, but you know what? It's his dream. If he has been able to get to the point in his life that he can build it, then let him accomplish it and be happy for him and his wife. I'll never achieve the financial ability to create a theater like that, but I'd surely like to see and hear it in action.

                                Congratulations Jeremy! :T

Saw the 4k projector again at CEDIA last week. It's been updated and even better than last year, and it looks great. They had a bunch of movie trailers playing on it, including the CGI animated "Veggie Tales" promo. Would love to have one, myself.
