    Deep Impact SCE

I thought you might be interested in the fact that Best Buy is running the just-released-yesterday Deep Impact SCE (Special Collector's Edition) DVD for $9.99. This is the long-awaited "enhanced for 16:9 displays" version of the best asteroid movie ever made. I've got mine reserved and will be picking it up today - what about you?

    "A Thriller with Brains" :roflmao:

While it was more intelligent than say Day After Tomorrow, The Core(POS), or Armageddon I wouldn't go that far. I do plan to pick it up though.

I liked it, but personally I prefer Armageddon, as cheesy as it was. Too bad it STILL hasn't been released in an anamorphic format!

I picked this up(It was cheap). PQ is decent. SQ is ok.

Still a movie I like to watch from time to time and not nearly as bad as the latest crap like "the Core" and "Day after". This movie is far better and that's not saying much.

Overall lots of extras for $10.

                Gordon,
I paid $20 for mine at Circuit a while back. I returned a few of them thinking I had a bad disc but this was before I knew about layer changes....Still the PQ is quite good/acceptable and the audio quality is top notch.

I have the Criterion Editon of Arrmagedon. I bought it on Ebay for about $44 cdn. A&B Sound wanted $90 cdn for it.

The PQ is pretty good for a non-anamorphic. What makes the Criterion edition so special is the Extra disk gag reels. Steve Bushemi is just hilarious

I don't remember Deep impact well, but I do know I like Tea Loni :T

Wasn't the Arrmagedon main movie disc enough to make you gag? :>)

Room size and impact of surround spkr

After about a month of researching I'm getting close to a decision on spkrs for my new HT room.

The room is medium size I guess for HT...21'wide by 17' deep by 10' h, the screen will be on the 21' wall, and seating 13' from the screen and approx. 11'/12' from the LCR spkrs.

The deep web is an invisible part of the World Wide Web. Its contents are not indexed by standard search engines. The deep web is many hundreds of times the size of the visible web.

The title of this documentary is misleading because it isn’t really about the deep web but rather about...

                            Hey all,

I am interested in your opinions on what impact, if any, the new HMDI specs will have on receiver design.

Granted that Dolby HD and other new audio codecs have not yet been included in any of the new receivers I am looking at, but the question has been posed to...
