    Coming Out Today!

    Don't forget:

The Four Feathers and Stargate: The Ultimate Edition are both available at stores today! Hopefully this will finally be the Stargate we've waited and waited on - 2.35:1 anamorphic w/DTS-ES and DD-EX soundtracks.

I'm glad they've come out with an edition of Stargate you are looking forward to having. I'm sure it will knock the socks off previous releases on home video. But since I already bought it on laser disc and previous DVD, (and have watched each only once), I've spent enough on it already. I've decided to be "immune" to upgrade-itus on titles that are (for me) fairly low priority when compared to material I do not have in any commercial home video release, such as M*A*S*H -- Complete Third Season. While I do have some of the episodes from that season on tape from late night reruns, they were butchered by the syndicator to make room for more commercials in those time slots. And I sure didn't have all 24 episodes even in that truncated form. This is going to be a real treat!

I own Stargate on LD but am really not a big fan of this film so I won't be going for the dvd. As for The Four Feathers, well that's a different story.

          season ending to Castle
          by Lex
I was amazed at the ending of Castle this season. One might wonder if they are going to be back again next year if you just watched the episode. But they actually said, Castle and Becket will see you in the fall. I won't say it was the best episode ever last night, but it certainly did pull a punch...

I picked up my season 2 Corner Gas DVD set the other day and have been enjoying watching it so far. It is a 3 DVD set with 18 episodes.

          24 - Season 3
          by EAmin
Season 3 comes out on DVD on 12/7. It'll give new viewers interested in watching Season 4 (which starts in the U.S. on Jan. 9 on FOX) some time to catch up on the last three seasons. The quality of the S1 and S2 DVDs themselves are okay, but the entertainment value is top-notch. Season 2 is the best...

"Chicago Fire" Season 1 on DVD
          by madmac

I'm deep into season 1 of Chicago Fireon DVD and although season 1 starts off a little dry character wise, it warms up nicely. It's basically about the firemen and women paramedics of Firehouse 51 in Chicago and all their trials and tribulations, close calls with death, and of...
