This is a film by director Abel Ferrara about a powerful Frenchman who lives a life of debauchery until he is arrested for sexually molesting a maid in his New York hotel room. The main character, who is played by Gérard Depardieu, is based on the French politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn who was the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the time of his arrest.
I enjoyed the film a lot. It depicts a lifestyle that is somewhat alien to me, which makes it rather fascinating. I do have to warn you that it's probably not family viewing as it is quite sexually explicit.
