Visually stunning in places (as could be expected from a film directed by long-time Christopher Nolan cinematographer Wally Pfister), with an intriguing premise and quality actors on hand. However, it lacks substance. Raises a number of interesting ideas about artificial intelligence and the concept of immortality but leaves them un- or underdeveloped. Not a horrible film but not one I'll revisit nor one anyone need take a detour to see.

We saw the trailers for this when The Wife & I made our once-a-year trek to the cinema to see Gravity (our first Imax experiance).
Despite the fact that The Wife's major heart throb is still JD, there was no interest displayed for this flick.

The Columbine massacre really touched me, as I would imagine it did to all of us. I think I'm going to send a message the way of Andrew Robinson,...-

by oldbobI will start shortening things up here. And just get to the salient points. But first, let me say this. Up to this point Heavens Gate was the biggest disaster in the history of filmmaking, at least from the perspective of the investors. At $40 million dollars it bankrupted UA studios. Books have been...-
