    Mothman Prophecies creepy

... but wanting as far as a conclusion goes. We are no wiser at the end of this film than we were at the beginning as to just what or who this Mothman guy or woman was all about. But the creep factor kept me tuned in, and Laura Linney is easy on the eyes. Richard Gere's acting ability is not really challenged here. I won't say too much about this other than recommend it as an entertaining 2 hours, that would have probably been better at 1 and 1/2 hours and with more attention to the sightings of the Mothman.

My wife has been asking to see this film. So I guess I'll put it in my queue as well. Thanks for the tip.

The Mothman Prophecies - A Review

Saw this very interesting film last weekend with friends. I'm STILL kicking around some things from it, so it obviously made an impression. It is based around supposedly-true events in West Virginia. DON'T WORRY, I'm not going to divulge much, if any, of the storyline 'cuz I don't want...

Finally, a release date for Ridley Scott's legend. Look for it on May 21. Should be loaded with extras after all this time.

Other newbies, Mothman Prophecies on June 4; Vanilla Sky on May 21; From Hell (2 disc set) on May 27th, and one I've been waiting for, Paul Newman in The Hustler

      Slither is more than creepy
      by George Bellefontaine
... it is downright hilarious. Written and directed by James Gunn, it stars Michael Rooker as the unfortunate local whose body becomes invaded by some slimey critter from outerspace. Elizabeth Banks is his unfortunate wife and Greg Henry is downright funny as the town mayor. Not going to say much more....
