the Hobit - tradition intact

It took two nights to get through this one due to its length.
Just can not stay up past 11:00 on a work night anymore.
5:00 am seems to come earlier every day I get older.

Anyway, no surprises, no new groundbreaking news here.
And to to my mind, that is a good thing.

OT; It was 1976, & I had finished reading the Trilogy years earlier, when I nominated The Hobbit for our high school senior play.
I worked as set designer & had the role of Gandalf.
Some fond memories there.

I haven't watched this yet. Like you, I am no longer a night owl so I'll have to look for a reasonable time slot to spin it.

It's a great movie and I love that they kept it identical to LOTR trilogy as far as stylizing the film. Really... one could (when finished) watch all three Hobbit movies and then watch LOTR and not feel like they are watching StarWars.

Sometimes familiar is very good!!!!!
