    Machine Gun Preacher

The inspirational true story of Sam Childers ( wonderfully portrayed by Gerard Butler ) a former biker and drug dealer who, after a life altering experience, finds God and ends up in Sudan, where he becomes not only a preacher, but an armed crusader for hundreds of physically and emotionally scarred children. Plentyof action along with high drama and some truly emotionally packed scenes, especially those involving the Sudanese children.

I truly wasn't sure what to expect because the title sounded like something you'd expect from Quentin Tarantino. But this was no Tarantino film. It is well written, well directed and well acted and well worth seeing. :T :T

Are you suggesting that a Tarantino film is unlikely to be "well written, well directed and well acted and well worth seeing"? :W

          Must see Tarantino films:

          Pulp Fiction
          Jackie Brown
          Inglourious Basterds
          Kill Bill 1 and 2

One of my favourites (but I understand why some people would not like it):

          Reservoir Dogs

The rest I have found entertaining but not extraordinary.

I actually have all of them, except Jackie Brown, in my collection. Reservoir Dogs is not for everyone, that's for sure.

You must get Jackie Brown, then. Now that it's out on Blu-ray, you can watch Pam Grier in hi-def.

I saw Jackie Brown in the theater but wasn't all that high on it so never bothered to get it when it came to video.

Yup, Jackie Brown is definitely a must-watch. All the others, have good qualities, but I'd say would depend on the viewer's taste.

I also don't know Jackie Brown but Pulp Fiction is my second favourite film of all time.

I've always found Tarantino a bit of a stretch but if I have a fave it has to be Pulp Fiction. Interesting you all seem to like Jackie Brown and I didn't. Well, I was much younger when it was released in the theater so maybe I should rent it to see if I see it differently now that I'm an old coot.

This is certainly a staple of home theaters. What would a home movie theater experience be without popcorn? Up to now, I've always just used the microwave popcorn bags or small hot air popper. But with my theater project, I just had to buy an antique popcorn popper to put in my rec room/theater lobby....
