    Invitation to Moderate

Anyone feel up to the challenge to do some moderating in this area? Basically, you need a serious interest in DVDs, and lots of em. You need to encourage stimulating dialogue, and of course, carry out the trash now and again, lol.

I feel we have a void here, and need daily leadership that Ken, just cannot provide due to his other commitments. He could use an associate.

Email me in if your interested. I may offer the same offer for our Music forum.

    Thanks,
    Lex
email me at doug@catcables.com as we have had a little problem with email here at the Guide lately-

I would volunteer but I only have Internet access at work so my time here would be very limited. I think George would do a great job.

Well, you guys think a lot like I do, because I discussed this with George about a month ago. I know he's the right guy for this gig, but George seemed to think he liked things the way they are. So, I don't want to be Total Force Lex, like I am in the Counter Strike game, lol. We will put it to George one more time, since you guys mentioned it here. How about it George?

George: Andrew's right, just keep doing what you're doing. Heck, if Andrew can do it, it can't be all that hard.

I'll tell you what, I'll even co-moderate with you, if it'll make any difference.

Guys, I really should have read this thread, and kept up, lol. I didnt' know George had come back with an interest. Unfortunately, my limited time, sometimes means I don't get to stay in tune with every forum all the time.

Given that fact, and Ken's semi-unavailability, and the fact he hasn't had a new post here in 6 months that I am aware of, I would like to move George in with Paul. Relax George, it's only at the forum, not at home, lol.

Ken keeps his role in Music, but DVDs is a hot topic, and really could use two dedicated movie guys. George, it's true, just keep doing what your doing! Tis all!

I will email you first George, and make sure it's still ok...

I am sure Ken will understand.

                        Thanks,

                        Lex

But Mats and I also started http://www.35mmguide.com, a place where people could talk about photography. ALL aspects, from digital, to imaging, to 35mm, to medium to large format photography....

This article will describe the fruits of my efforts to build a moderate sized speaker which might be moderately above average in performance for a basic two-way system. I desired a speaker like this both for my own use in secondary systems, and to fill a need for some friends, who desired fairly full range response (i.e., “it’s gotta have good bass”). Also, though I have access to a good wood shop, many potential DIY enthusiasts may not, so I hoped to use a modified...

So, I'm sitting and listening to my 2 channel setup at a very moderate volume (volume level = 30 on a Krell 400 Xi integrated amp)

                                  I'm using B&W 804s speakers

This hobby is complex in nature, and it's interesting that one gets to continue learning along the way through experimentation.
