Also a good month for classics... The Grapes Of Wrath on the 6th and The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes and The Hound Of The Baskervilles on the 27th, are the bookends.

In between, I like Roxy Hart starring Ginger Rogers, a great seventies' murder mystery called The Last Of Sheila, the very inexpensive Dracula, Frankenstein and Wolfman Legacy Collections, Rooney and Garland in Love Finds Andy Hardy, and a fresh batch of old timey serials from VCI, too.

Thanks, Brad. I've been wanting to replace my Grapes Of Wrath vhs tape. As for The Last Of Sheila, I saw that several years ago on tape. Will enjoy seeing it on dvd.

Any month that gives us "Grapes of Wrath" and "Master and Commander" on DVD is a good month. Actually, I'm kind of glad that those (and "Matrix Revolutions", which I bought today) are about the only titles that really tempt me to buy them this month, since I still have a huge stack of unwatched titles from previous months. (There are probably other worthwhile titles being released that haven't gotten a lot of buzz, which is just as well, for wallet preservation.) :>)

As for "The Haunted Mansion", you might want to rent it first. I saw the trailer for it twice when I went to see other movies and it didn't look particularly interesting. (Eddie Murphy's character came off as silly rather than funny.) Here's what critics think about it as quoted at Rotten Tomatoes -- only 13% (16 out of 122) liked it. Buyer beware. :>)

Thanks for the heads up, Burke, but I wouldn't buy Eddie without renting first. About the only thing I liked him in of late was the first Nutty Professor and then Bowfinger. Everything else has been a disappointment.

            Thanks for the update George!

            I picked up Matrix 3.
Also looking forward to Kill Bill.

I agree on renting Haunted Mansion first.
I sure hope it is good though. Eddie has had some disappointments
            in the past.
