    A history of Violence

Saw it and enjoyed it, although the movie was short (96 min) but was interesting and was almost glued to it.

It's on my "order" list. I'm a fan of Viggo Mortensen and Ed Harris, so this one should play well for me.

Yes indeed I was pleasantly surprised at this one.

      Four out of five stars.

      Peace and blessings,

I lkked it enough to buy it. Not a family film, that's for sure. Harris is one evil dude in this fick.

Thanks for reminding me about this film. I wanted to see it since the first time I saw the trailer on TV. Been watching a lot of ‘family’ type stuff lately with the wife, and I am ready for some good old ultra-violent, testosterone generating entertainment. I’ll try to rent it this weekend.

2/3 of the way through the film, I was becoming rather disappointed………gratuitous sex with a made-for-TV story line and dialogue. Then, finally, William Hurt hits the screen with one of the most outstanding and enjoyable cameos I have ever seen. You could just tell he was having a ball with this roll. And I had had ball watching him. Simply outstanding.

My wife had no intention of watching this, but was in the room when I started it, and became interested when she surmised the hero must have had some dark past by way he handle the attempted robbery at the diner. By the end, she shared my opinion; without Hurt’s incredible performance, a film worth missing. However, she now wants a house with THREE flights of stairs?!?!?!?

The Joey's (Tom) son and his brother I thought actually looked like they could be related... Overall it was good, a bit short and the ending was very sudden....
