This is was the sleeper, action film of the summer. One of the best action films I've seen in a while. You can't go wrong with director Micheal Bay. Only $14.99 at Walmart or $5.00 for a rental.

Yep, i watched it wednesday as well.
Not a half bad flick at all!
I picked it up without looking at the box, and it turned out to be a wicked surprise.
Has Michael Bay written all over it.

Do yourself the favour and try to rent it blindly (without reading up too much on it).

Watched it tonight... glad I just rented it. Although the cast was good, I was not overly impressed with the plot. It did have some good action scenes.

Thats pretty much what I did and I was very pleasantly surprised. I really liked it but that has a lot to do with the fact that it was much better than I expected.

I picked this up last weekend to audition my first projector...WOW. I enjoyed the movie a lot, the action scenes were great!

Finally got around to this flick. Watched it last night with the wife and we both thought it was pretty good, even if it was similar to Logan's Run. Over two hours long, but things moved swiftly and I never got bored. The PQ was very high contrast. In fact it looked like the whites were blown out in several scenes. Sound was awesome and really gave my system a workout. Still, for me it is a one-timer so I'm glad I didn't buy.

My wife and I had heard all of the bad reviews on the film, so we decided to rent the movie and it turned out we both really enjoyed the film. As G.B. stated, the sound was very good. Probably wont purchse the film, but will rent it again someday.

Watched "The Island" last night.
It was a good movie.
Good job on Dodge/Chrysler for getting the contract
to have their vehicles showcased in the Movie!
Charger's , Magnums , Pt Cruiser and the Crossfire were
some that I saw. :T

I know!,
That was a sweet Cadillac.
There was also a Blue 2005 Corvette.
I spotted that one a couple of times.
They kept using the same cars frequently through the
road scenes.

Great movie!! It was the last one on the shelf, and the previous 6 times or so ive checked Best Buy has been out of it.

I enjoyed it. The SFX and sound were very good. The story was entertaining. The acting was good for the material given. I would purchase it at a previously viewed price.

I added this one to my rental list, so I haven't seen it yet. From what I know of it, though, I can definitely see how people would make comparisons to Logan's Run. The thing is, though, that the majority of the public today don't even know what "Logan's Run" is!
