Yep, George Lucas announced at ShoWest that in 2007, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the theatrical opening of Star Wars, he'll be releasing the original trilogy in 3D. There was no word on whether the format will be standard DVD or high-def.

Can't you just imagine how cute 'n cuddly the Ewoks are going to be in 3D? :thud:
Seriously though, if the 3D is done right, the opening scene from Episode 4 with the Star Destroyer chasing Princess Leia's ship will be frickin' AWESOME!!! Woohoo! :banana:.
