Big List of New Titles coming to Dvd this year..

Can't wait for King Kong ( older version). I only have this on tape and the transfer sucks. As for Titanic, it's in my LD collection and a new anamorphic dvd version may get me to replace it, but I really only enjoy certain parts of it, so I don't know. As for new John Wayne titles, I will be looking forward to that. Hope they include HONDO, HIGH AND MIGHTY, and ISLANDS IN THE SKY. These are terrific Duke films that should have been released long ago.

I've been waiting for an anamorphic Titanic SE for years. I haven't seen this movie in quite a while since the non-anamorphic version didn't do my setup justice--though it was an excellent, non edge enhanced transfer, I had to use my RPTV's doubler which didn't do 3:2 pulldown in order to fill the screen with the correct aspect ratio.

Forgot to mention African Queen, one of my all time favorite classics, and certainly Bogart's best acting gig. Had this first on tape then replaced it with a laserdisc. Unfortunately , the laserdisc transfers was pretty much the same as the vhs tape. Very dirty and much grain. I would certainly love to have a dvd copy that is well transferred.
