    Short Circuit

    Hahahaha  !

A great 80s flick I grew up with as a kid. Found a widescreen version of it at wally-world in the bargain-bin for $5. A gem h: !! (ok maybe a faux sapphire :B ).

    :3: out of :5:

      Oh come on! :P

This film walks hand in hand with other classic 80's flicks like The Karate Kid, The Goonies, Gremlins, and The Neverending Story.

      I grew up watching these!

Short Circuit was a great movie from the 80s, one of my favorites. The DVD is subpar however. Non-anamorphic and not the greatest sound track either as I recall. But hey, gotta love the 80s! :B

You gotta watch those bargain bins. A lot of them are early dvd releases and are non anamorphic.

George is right, but the Short Circuit DVD was released in 2000 so it *should* have been anamorphic. I was disappointed when I got it after it was released.

I despise all three of these movies, Short Circuit, Wargames & Project X. All built around the "evil war machine government has no heart and kills all who oppose it, but are actually so incompetent teenagers can foil them easily" theme.

                      Bleah.

                      Better than Catwoman though.

If rock and roll from the eighties was your particular era, you will probably already have seen Rock Of Ages, so I won't bother with the story line. The 40s/50s was more my era, but I had three sons who were so into rock and roll ( and the 80s was their era ) that I sometimes ran from the house screaming....

More news on the "Star Wars Kid"
                            by Chris D
This news story just won't go away. I'm posting it here due to the nature of the kid being on video in the first place. Note that some are petitioning for him to be in Episode III. The story doesn't say he's interested, but I imagine he'd be willing to suck up the extra attention for a chance like that....

This is a terrific teen action drama with impeccable direction and production. Ralph Macchio really captured the teen angst of a middle-class Jersey boy trying to adapt to the dangers of an upper-class California society, as well as being a not-so-silent victim of school violence. His transformation...
