That is impressive, and well deserved. (Much more so than the $28.5 M "The Phantom Menace" bilked its audiences out of on its first day in May of 1999.) I just wonder if that $26 M figure includes the tickets paid for with vouchers from the extended edition DVD of Fellowship of the Rings? I know a lot of folks cashed those in to see the midnight opening show I went to. (In fact, that's the way I paid for my ticket.)
