    The Powerpuff Girls - a review

    I saw this film knowing nothing about the PPG. At least I ws treated to their origin, thus not as lost as I would be if it was a film that required some previous knowledge of the cartoon.

    It was okay, I got a little restless in the middle of the film. The puns on apes and monkeys and homages to such films featuring simians ranged anywhere from inspired to eye-rolling, so a mixed bag for me.

    But it wasn't too dreadful, and most kids will enjoy it.

    I give it 2.75 stars, or a grade of B- for Blossom/Bubbles/Buttercup.
