    Ted

Did not enjoy this movie. I'm a pretty big fan of "Family Guy", and appreciate Seth Macfarland's humor. But this had many stretches of the movie that were just plain not funny and didn't really have much purpose of being in the movie.

Too bad. The ads for it really looked funny, and it's a good idea premise. Parts are definitely crass as expected, and for sure there are scenes that are absolutely hilarious. But as a whole work, it doesn't... work. :2: out of :5:. I would at most recommend it for a rental for older teenage boys or something.

And I thought I'd actually go the movies for once by myself. Such a waste.

Well, I'm a bachelor this week, so I thought I'd go see a movie or two that she and/or the family wouldn't go see with me. I might go see Prometheus or something. Maybe Spider Man, but my wife would probably see that with me. I'm going to wait on the new Pixar movie until the family's home to see it with me.

The girl from that 70s show, was pretty good in the movie Friends with Benefits. In fact, that is a pretty decent chick flick. romantic comedy, whatever you want to call it. But I figured there couldn't be much to this Ted movie except a couple of laughs. Maybe on movie channels someday.

Saw this yesterday in IMAX 3D. It was a "digital" Imax I was really impressed with the sound but the 3D I didn't feel was any different than the "RealD 3D" presentations that I have seen.

As for the movie itself I liked it though going into it I had already pretty...

              Review of "Identity Thief"
              by madmac
I spun this dvd the other day on the advice of my 14 year old daughter. This film is apparently made by the same people that brought us the movie "Ted"

This film is not terribly funny and misses the mark on many levels. I found it tedious to watch and somewhat annoying actually!....

              GARFIELD heh heh heh !
              by George Bellefontaine
A silly movie with a silly story, but hey, it's lasagna-loving Garfield, my favorite comic strip character. He had me rolling with laughter on my HT floor.

SEVEN STARS out of 5. But I would only do this for Garfield.

Movie versions of books (or vice versa)
              by Chris D
This may be a good discussion. The topic is popular books that have been made into movies. By and large, my personal opinion is that movie renditions of good books fall far short for a few reasons. First, I think due to the media of print, books allow for a much more thorough immersion of the reader...

              America's Sweethearts- whose movie?
              by JonMarsh
I saw this movie this weekend. I've seen a few different reviews by people, some not all that hot (B-, C+) discussing this as "the new Julia Roberts Movie". And then they complain about how small a role Julia Roberts had in this movie.

Reality reset time, folks. Julia Roberts...
