    New years Eve

    :T

Went to see this flick at the Theater with my daughter the other day. First off, it is VERY rare that I go to the theater and I was reminded of the reason for that when the movie started. Both the center channel and one of the surround speakers were obviously blown and had a horrible, muffled, crackly sound to them. Also, the picture on the screen was not properly centered and of course as in many cases, the focus was a little off......just enough to bother me

Now as for the movie itself, the critics here in Montreal ripped this film and for the life of me, I don't know why? . This was a wonderful film and my daughter agrees with me on this. I've seen this formula done a few times in other films where the lives of a number of people intertwine and mingle with each others, and sort of collide in the end. There's nothing wrong with that right?. This film does this very well and it does it with meaning and heart!. I was holding back some tears at a few moments during this star studded movie.

I did notice a fair amount of young girls in the theater however.....possibly due to the presence of Mr. kutcher and Mr. Effron in it!!

8/10 stars for a fun film with great performances!!

I'm not a happy camper Santa.

Christmas eve and Massive Attack is playing at about 70-75 db in the other room. I notice I slight burny smell as I pass the stereo on the way down the hall, then buzz fart and a channel drops out.

A quick check under the hood reveals that...

... so I was guessing she might like quirky material like her dad. Well, she does, but though she may have his blood, she doesn't have his talent. The movie was quirky okay, and it had a twist ending, but for me, just too hard to buy. Anyway, two FBI agents ( Bill Pullman and Julia Ormond ) arrive in...

How much should a student first time film cost?
    by oldbob
In answer to my own question, I would say between $10,000 and $40,000 dollars. It used to be more but digital has drastically lowered the cost while at the same time making it much easier to produce a professional look.

However, this isn’t a story about reasonable. This is the true...

    Student Film part three
    by oldbob
Now we all have learned that at the beginning of each day you are given your pages of the days work. For me that means I can figure out how I am going to utilize my crew and plan my day. The more I can get ahead of the company with pre-lighting the more time I can save production. And in film time is...
