Transformer 2 was awesome!

I just got back home... definitely worth the wait!! The trailers were... tricky. One would think they kind get the idea of Transformer 2 from the trailers, but it's not that way at all. Awesome, awesome, awesome movie! It was pretty long too... almost 3 hours. Man, I'm still psyched about it!!! :B :B :B :B

Oh, and Optimus Prime was a bad ass in this movie!!!!

Almost not for kids.......Good.........Getting tired of Movies that have to stay on the straight an narrow.Just makes me want to see it more.

Saw it last night on a crappy screen. Sound was bad, every other reel had a scratch running down it (it's a freaking new movie!) plus following the lint around the glass was fun.

As far as the movie, not bad. Would have been better at 2 hours, rather then 2.5. Some scenes were unneeded, some needed more explanation.

If you liked the first one, you'll like this one. You'll still like the first better. If you were so-so on the first one, you'll hate this one.

Maybe I was too excited about it... was it just me? I loved this movie! The first one, as I commented on in the first Transformer thread, was one of the best action movies I had seen in a long long time. The second one for me was even better. My two friends that went with me to watch it also found it to be a lot better than the first one. The only thing that disappointed me was the Destructicons (Devastor). I was REALLY expecting a full-on battle. Hey, was there any special ending at the end of the credits in the US? I was expecting it because of the last scene with Megatron and Starscream. I waited through it all, but didn't see anything extra.

The only difference between you and I was that I never saw it as a kid.So that's an even bigger testament in some respects that the movie can be more than a nostalgic event.Trust me bro....After I have seen it I'll post a review.Though I must forward you,that It will be a positive one,again cause I'm biased. :T I really do think a movie of this nature and vibe has never been done before and in the movie world that's rare,I also think that's why most people aren't really sure what to make of it.Of course we seem to have gotten it.
Movies like Music has to have the right flavor.Transformers is that for me and then some.

Just got back from seeing this on the best IMAX in Houston. I definitely must say this one exceeds the first one in every way. The action was amazing of course, and though this is still a no brainer popcorn flick, it seemed to me like every single actor/character stepped it up a notch. There was maybe 10-15 minutes total of lull, but that's about the only bad thing I can say. I must definitely go against the grain of the majority of reviews and say this one was awesome!

Also it was my first time in this particular theater (Houston Marq*E IMAX) and it was a real treat. The sound and video quality were top notch, and screen size huge! I live on the southeast side out past the beltway and this was definitely worth the 30 minute drive.

Well, I paid my $6 to see it last night. Overall, for me, I would rate transformers 1 an 8, and transformers 2 a 6.5. I found Trans2 to have too much immature unnecessary attempts at humour that really broke my sence of involvement with the movie. Megan fox was perhaps even hotter looking than in the first movie, which was alright. The huge increase in the amount of transformers was definitly cool, but I found the retarded twins to be a waste of time and I think the show would've been better without them.

That's interesting, I actually thought the comic relief was much worse in the first one. Between agent Simmons and the black kid "genius" I found it really annoying. While Simmons was in the second one too, he seemed much less annoying than in the first one. Just my $0.02.

you might be right about it being worse in the first one, I own it but I haven't watched it in a while. I just think if you're going to make an action movie, forget about the jokes, especially if they're lame, or you have to make annoying charaters to try and add humour. Like in the second one, his roommate.

Ohhh, that stupid duck character Jar Jar Binkx, right? I hated that character. Before Star Wars 3 came out, I saw a parody of SW3 on youtube, and it showed Jar Jar Binkx die. I was so excited hoping that it had some real inside information that Jar Jar Binkx would be gone. ha ha
Yeah, the twin robots were pretty stupid... but not so far off from the cartoon. They did have Blurr in the cartoons (do you remember the robot that talked REALLY fast all the time). He was just as cheesy. But I think it would have been cool if they did have him instead of the twins. He was clumsy, so he could have resulted in the same thing the twins did.
