Odd lot for me this year. Didn't get out to the theaters much this past Oscar year.

From above, I have seen -

The Bourne Ultimatum (Theater and DVD)

    Ratatouille (DVD)

    Probably will see -

The Counterfeiters (Looking forward to this one)

No Country for Old Men (Maybe, not into creepy or violent movies too much. I wife will watch an I'll decide on her feedback)

There will be Blood (On rental DVD)

Michael Clayton (On rental DVD - Probably because wife will want to see)

    Juno (Maybe rent)

The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Maybe rent)

    Once (Maybe rent)

The academy awards have lost its luster over the years and movies just seemingly picked by peer groups and similar as too the music industry awards or trying to vote a band in the rock'n'roll hall of fame that cant get in because of a board of directors and to think they (musicians) were elected by public vote.

If someone here has a different approach to this or another answer please reciprocate .

It takes a lot of money or hard earned cash to keep the actors/actresses and cinemas/movie studios in business and be able to keep their fine homes/cars and expensive vacation packages/temper tantrums with drug induced degenerate behavior and little back to the consumer does any funding go which could pay for their own hobbies and more importantly bills and please do not use charities as a excuse for hollywood because that also comes from (mostly...at least originally) the consumer.

      I will stop ranting now.

Couldn't agree more. Who wants to be brainwashed by the entertainment moguls... Last year's Oscars gave me the creeps after hearing that one of the Hong Kong's finest masterpieces of all time "Infernal Affairs" was referred to as "based on a Japanese movie" during the Oscar live show. Brrrrr, scary, naive, illiterate... Unfortunately the Oscar went to Scorsese's remake The Departed . Now, how cheap is that?
