Don't know if this is available on DVD or VHS , but I saw it for the third time (in a couple decades) tonight on mojo in HD. I think it's a great film. Robert Mitchum and Takakura Ken make a great pair in this movie. The last 10 minutes of the movie do a fair job of pointing out what Hollywood has lost in the storytelling arena. My $.02

yeah good movie now on HD, kind of a bit of trivia, but i noticed one sword used was an actual Shinto period samurai sword, almost all of the japanese samurai flicks use reproductions,

I thought the combat scenes were very good , as well. Refreshing not to see two guys dance around for 10 minutes beating the crap out of their prop swords. Most edged weapon combat consists of an attack , a mistake , and the conclusion.Lee
