    Black Snake Moan

:T :T :T :T Absolute must see. Went last night with the director, cameraman, and production designer on the film I am presently working on. We were still talking about it 2 hours after leaving the theater.
Christina Ricci gives a very bold and daring oscar caliber performance. Great raw blues music to boot.

I saw the trailer on this and have to say it looked damn good. I remember Christina from her funny role in MERMAIDS and recall how I felt she would likely develop into a good actress. And Jackson looks like he is making up for his silly role in Snakes On A Plane.

Funny, I will always see Christina Ricci in the role she played as "Wednesday" on the Addam's Family movie.

She's no longer the little girl from the Adam's Family (I worked on Adam's Family Values) or the chubby girl in "Ghost World"

... which brings up an interesting topic of actor "stereotyping." Am I the only one, or to anyone else, will Michael Keaton always be "Mr. Mom", (I couldn't take him seriously as Batman) Keanu Reeves will always be Ted Theodore Logan, Sean Connery will always be James Bond, Tom Hanks will always be Josh from "Big", Kevin Costner will always suck, Sam Elliott will always be a "Marlboro Man" cowboy, etc?

I understand and for the most part agree with what you are saying,Chris.
And yeah,Michael Keaton was not BatMan...

The other side of the coin are actors who always play the same character,no matter the role.Guys like Tommie Lee Jones or Gene Hackman.Fine actors, but has any of their characters differed from the last one they played?...no matter the movie.
You could just about super-impose any Tommie Lee character over his last or his next role.

As for the movie...I am looking forward to seeing it,especially with the blues solundtrack.

                    Billy Blazejowski?

Agreed about some actors. Early on, you would have thought that Harrison Ford would be stuck as Han Solo, or perhaps his role in American Graffiti, or perhaps Bladerunner. But he's incredibly versatile, and seems to fit in every movie he does, from Air Force One, to Indiana Jones, to Regarding Henry, etc.

And will Tony Danza ever take on a role where his character is not named "Tony"?

I'm moaning already just from the title... lol.

Costner was good in Tin Cup, I thought he did good in the Whitney Houston movie too. Everyone doesn't have to be oscar quality to be entertaining (or successful)

Tony Danza? I don't think he can, it's a athlete mentality he was blessed with, ha. He never seemed the sharpest knife in the drawer. But again, he was entertaining on that original sitcom he was in after Taxi.
You know, the one where the Charmed one was a little girl in it.

I believe this is one of those small independent films. They don't usually fit in the mainstream. You either like them or you don't.
