The few trailers I saw looked pretty good to me - with great special effects. I guess we'll see - I had high hopes for this one.

Ok I saw it and paid $0 unlike a bunch of other suckers. This movie was AWFUL but not Catwoman bad.

SFX were horrible.
Acting was wooden
Story/Plot was non-existent and they directors even acknowledged this by saying they had to cut the backstory to meet their 100 million dollar budget which was obviously all spent on weak ass CGI. :gah:
Action? What action. There was very little. The whole crash sequence was to introduce the city to these "heroes" whom didn't want to be heroes. The bad guy got introduced in the last 20 minutes and even he was sucky.

Overall I'd give it a :15: out of :5: and I'm being nice because it is at best craptacular.

Get a free ticket(like I did) or don't bother is my recommendation.

Thanks for the warning. Since I don't have contacts in the business, the only way I know to get a "free ticket" is to duck into the theater after finishing a paid admission elsewhere in the cineplex. They watch the doors and check the stubs on the really hot flicks, but don't pay attention on the ones that aren't so hot.

But since I don't take advantage of their laxity as a matter of principal, even on really good flicks that just happen to be deep into their run, this one looks like a "no go" for sure.

They were free because I was buying the Man on Fire se's anyway. This is an added bonus.

I saw this one for free after watching the Island. I was pretty skeptical after all the bad reviews but I thought it was pretty entertaining and would not have been mad if I in fact paid for it. I thought the Human Torch was very funny. The only part I did not like is that Dr. Doom didnt really show much. I'm quiet sure that there will be a sequel and maybe he will do more then. If he is still alive. Sorry if this is a spoiler, I dont know how to use those cover-ups. I would give it three out of five stars. If you like X-men then I'm sure you will like this one too.

Thanks alot David, I was always wondering how to do that. I hate giving away spoilers. But i find it hard to talk about a film without doing so, now I know how.

I just saw this and didn't think it was that bad. It's not as good as past offerings like X-men or Spiderman though. The human Torch was the best character in this the others were a bit boring and the action is mostly at the end and it's short. The Thing should have been CGI like the Hulk to show his size as I thought he looked far too small. Umm I would just pay to see Jessica strip off down to her underware which she does do god bless her. Worth the price of entry alone. ;x(

Spiderman is untouchable as far as these comic book movies. X-Men 2 was good, but nowhere near Spiderman. Spiderman was just perfect. 2nd in line to me would be the Batman (Michael Keaton). I wanted to see Fantastic Four just because. I'm sure it would suck since they want to make a movie out of any freakin' comic now, but I figured it would be ok, not this bad.
