Unfortunately this doesn't translate into what we get on Home Video. Nowadays it's getting harder and harder to find a DTS CINEMA presentations and to be honest, can anyone make a fair comparison between seeing a movie at the theater in DTS vs DD or SDDS?

Also, I would bet we would get maybe if we are lucky 10% of these in DTS on home video.

that brings another question in my mind "Why Not????", why would producers want to take out DVD's with DD when they have the original Cinema print in DTS......why ???

Well, DTS movie sound can't just be slapped into a home DVD release. It's still got to be completely re-encoded and calibrated for home theater purposes.

Me, I'm looking forward to many of these, DTS or not. "Herbie" is one of them--enjoyed the original Herbies, and hey... can you really say no to Lindsay Lohan?

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

            Many reasons

            1. Space on the DVD. DTS takes up alot of it. This cuts into the video bit budget.
            2. Some producers have found no difference. Back to the Future anyone?
            3. Don't want to bother with reencoding it in DTS. Why? DD is the standard.

DD is the current standard, fortunately DTS and DD have both made the cut for the next standard.... Play it how you want. DD does just me just fine.

Round these parts you'd be hard pressed to find a DTS presentation anymore. There's one SDDS theater in the city and I think it's going to die pretty soon.
Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.
