    Star Wars toys

While not associated with the May release of film, I saw where there are special events this coming Saturday/week for Star Wars toys.

NYC Toys R Us has a special event. All Toys R Us have a 12:01 AM Saturday special sales event coming, and Walmart has special activities going on with characters for pictures with kids etc... I think Walmart has a special time for release of the boxes being sold as a preview to real toy introduction. Only 50,000 are available worldwide.

Just an FYI for you big fans and collectors.

Ah, you must have seen my post. I'm really enjoying the new BG. When it first started, I thought it might be the best sci-fi TV show ever. I've backed off from that now, I think the show has slipped a bit. But still enjoyable. We'll have to see what the season finale turns out like.

Best ever....I was kinda going that direction myself. I'm a huge Trek fan and I can not really think of a better series so far than BG.

            Chris -

You have that 3300 piece imperial cruiser lego set? Just curious if once built, you can pick it up an zoom it around the house.

I of course have no Staw Wars toys, but my seven year old let's me use his. He already has Anakin's new fighter, sort of a jedi/tie hybrid.

Also picked up a B wing for $18 at an action figure store over here in Tokyo for a neighbor's birthday. You guys would kill to see this store. 6 (small) floors with every action figure you can imagine.

Lucas explains Star Wars to Spielberg
              by oldbob
In 1975 I was working on a film in Alabama being directed by a young Steven Spielberg. It was a difficult story to get on film because in those days if you wanted something in the picture you had to actually figure out a way to photograph it. You couldn't just go into a computer and spit out a cartoon...
