This thing was a struggle to get it out of the box at first until I realised Rotel had already thought about how to get this beast out. The top flaps become actual handles to aid in extraction of the unit from the box. The packaging design is exceptional :T This speaks volumes as it seems no detail is over looked.

It is in fact the 1095 :B

I can tell you those wheels on the back really work well and allow you to place this thing like nobodys business.

Unfortunately due to my ongoing kitchen renos, I may not have time for this until sometime next week :nonod: I have to somehow make room in my rack, and if it doesn't fit, it'll have to sit on the floor unitl I can think of something.

I'm an idiot!!! I'm on my third 1095 and have never even noticed how the flaps work. I break my back every damn time... Thanks for the tip!

Thanks Jason :T It was you and Andrew that made me see the light... And to think I was going to by a De....

Kevin, glad to be of assistance :

My wife and daughter were howling at the size of this thing.. :roflmao: :roflmao:

At first they didn't notice it sitting in the corner of the room, then it was like Holy!!! That is one big amplifier!!"

to which I said, "so then it's not really that big if you didn't notice it at first" it took them like 20 minutes before they saw it. I wonder if I could get a RMB 1090 past then next :scratchhead:

Bing when you redo that rack is there anyway you can move the sources up and then have a stack of the 1095 then 1080 with the 1098 on top of those...that would look very very nice all lined up like that

                              Jason, Oh, alright

Andrew, that is my plan :T I want to try adding the extensions to the rack as I had talked to you about. If that works out I will then have a rack that is like:
                              _______
                              Motorola DCT6200
                              Denon 2200
                              9.5" space
                              _______
                              1098 9.5" space

                              _______
                              1080 7.5" space
                              _______
                              1095 11.5" space

                              _______

If all goes well, if not the 1095 sits on the floor ops:

                              Kevin, you've been through three 1095's? :E :E :E

You guys want to hear something funny?

Andrew and Jason knew I started on this quest all because I was getting an audio sync (lag) with my new TV playing DVD's. I was needing an audio delay in the sound processing to match up with the Toshiba's processor. So I started to look for something that would give me that. With the 1098 dialed in with 85 ms delay, its seamless now.

Before all the new equipment, I called Tosh tech support and talked to a tech who told me that it was not the TV and it was my audio system. I proceeded to list all the tests that I performed to ensure that it was infact the TV. He then started talking to me as if I was a know nothing and that I didn't understand. He actually had me to a point where I had to bite my tounge.... :M :M :M

In the end I told him "Look... the only thing that has changed is my TV, would you please give me a case number and look into it with the design Engineers, see if there is a Firmware update now or in the works for this scaling lag, thats all I want you to do for me." I knew that if I stay on the line any longer with the condesending person, that it would not be pretty.

He said he would and I said good bye. Well it's been nearly 4 months, and I have not heard from Tosh tech support so I called them up the other day and ask what has happened to my case number. Well wouldn't you know it, there is a firmware update for my TV that is suppose to fix the audio lag. The will be sending me out a SD memory card that I just plug into my TV and flash with the new firmware...

So in the end it's Ironic that my Denon 3300/Bryston 3B/Soundstream Monoblocks coul dbe still serving me well, and I would be happy. not as happy as I maybe now, but still happy. Strange world :scratchhead:

Yes but you wouldn't have all your new friends on HTGuide and Club Rotel, plus the way better sound of the RSP-1098...
