    rsx1065 owner needs help

    I am the owner of the 1065 ver1.1. I am curious what is involved in the firmware upgrade ie what do I need to accomplish this? Also I was reading on this site that the upgrade from v1.2 to v1.3 required an EPROM change. What is involved in an EPROM change? Is it just a firmware upgrade or do I need to have something physically upgraded on the computer.

    These questions may sound trivial but I have no idea on how to go about upgrading my 1065. I would like to take adnvantage of the DTSneo:6 and DDex features.

    One other questions were do I get my hands on the firmware or patch cords that I will need.

      I do have one concern: I noticed that the firmware is 1.5.1_020702. The Rotel site says that I should upgrade to 1.57, although I noticed that there is a 2.xx numbering scheme...

      i got a lil question about the RSX-1065 - can anyone tell me the actual firmware release number for this receiver ? is it still 1.57 ?

      How to find out on the receiver ? anything wrong if it is a 2.24 ? or is this a "old" machine only upgraded...

      Guess what Rotel sent me this morning!
      Note that the HD units indicates the newer models running the modified chipsets. If your machine is using these different chipsets please do not flash your firmware unless you've obtained the correct file directly from Rotel.
