Rotel cd players

The price of the RCD991 has dropped in our local stores. Its dropped from 1199 to 699 euro.

I asked Rotel if there will be a new cd player this season, they denied it.

Anybody else heard some rumours about a new top player of Rotel? I do not mention the rcd 1070, thats not the top (by far), but the replacement of the Rotel RCD991. Anyone?

I wish Rotel would make a DVD player that gives really good audio. Maybe I'm asking too much, but it would sure help out consumers like me who are driving themselves crazy trying to buy great picture without compromising sound.

Its true. Also I do really want to have a very, very good Rotel DVD player, but they haven't .......

The 1080 its way overpriced, and not that good, its good, but not better than any player around 1000 dollars/euro's.

Couldn't they buy the Denon A1 and 3800 and give them the nice Rotel cover ? Then I'm sure, it sounds great, it looks great, great picture quality and excellent audio quality too!
