    bass mgmt update

    Has anyone heard any latest news on this issue? I'm soooooo close to buying this unit (and the 1075/1080 amps) but I quite concerned about this issue. I'm a complete techno failure so I really don't want to have to fiddle with a "work around".

    Is this something that would cause me to postpone/change my purchase plans?

      Thats a good question.

      We havent heard anything about a upgrade quite a long time now.

      Sound quality of the rsp is excellent but the bass problem should be solved now.

      Perhaps you can maka an agreement with your dealer that you can return your unit if nothing happens with the bass management.

      I don`t hope that nothing will happen but i wonder how long Rotel still forces us to wait that our expensive units run properly.

          A few people I know have tested the beta firmware and it still needs a few tweaks. That was before christmas and I haven't heard anything since then. I'll ask and find out what the situation is at present.

              1066 bass mgmt - something's not right here

              I'm beginning to wonder if the firmware in my 1066 has some bugs with regard to bass management. I was one of the people who verified that the 6.1 inputs had the “bass-doubling” issue. Now, I've noticed that the 1066 seems to have bass management issues in regular 2-channel as well.

              Hi,

              Do Rotel offer any bass management for the 5.1 input for DVD-A/SACD followers? Seems to me that the bass redirect feature is not really a true method of bass management. Anybody recommend a preamp/processor that has this fuction?
