Visually more appealing...10 series or 15 series?

    Pretty straightforward!

Which series do you like the visual appearance of better and why?

I fell in love with the 10 series the moment I saw it. Especially the RB-1080 with its beautiful heatsinks on the front. It looked all business. When the 15 series was introduced, I wasn't quite sure. Now that a few years have passed, I think the 15 series looks great and I probably like it better than the 10 series to be honest!

I like the combo of black and silver on the 10 series... the 15 series is the sleak, plain jane that a lot of companies are going for as it's a more modern design... I just like the styling of the old 10 series though.

      I discovered Rotel & bought my first piece, a RB-980, in 1994.

Since then, I have owned over seven different models with three currently in my system.

Call me old-school, I do not mind, but the 9' series will always have a special place in my heart as far as aesthetics are concerned.
Of course, what ever series it is, it must BLACK. :W

But since the 9' series is not being included in the pole, I will vote for the 10' series as long as it is 'all black'.

Great idea for a pole, lastexit! :T

I like (probably equally) the 10-series in silver, and the 15 series in black.

        Where's the option "Yes"

Interesting that you like the black, wkhanna. Coming from someone who has had so many of the common Sony/Yamaha/Onkyo black AVRs prior to getting started in hi-fi, the silver Rotel components I first saw made my jaw drop! That was back in 2007 when I first heard about Rotel.

Thanks! I was bored and thought I'd chime in and see what everyone likes.
I apologize if this may be off topic but any chance Rotel will introduce another power line conditioner? They had the RLC-1040 and I believe a larger model. I'm not familar with the 9 series products but I believe they had a power conditinoer for that as well -- could have swore I saw it hooked up at my dealer a long time ago. Just curious.

I'd go either way depending on the color, the 10 series in the silver and the 15 series in black. Overall I still liked the RSP-1069 in silver. However I currently use a RSP-1572 in black with matching Rotel internet tuner. I'd also prefered the RSP lower height in the 10 series.

The RLC-1040 Power Conditioner was simply a re-badged APC unit.
                Nothing wrong with that, AFAIC.
                The APC's are V good.
I have never seen any other Rotel conditioners, but that is not to say there where none.

The RLC-900.. More of a power amp sequencer / power unit, as it does not do any type of voltage regulation.

"I see a Silver Rotel and I want it painted black
No colours anymore, I want them to turn black
I see the amps lined up, no heatsinks there on show
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes"

I reckon that's the start of a good song Bill. It might make me rich!

PS I'm ashamed to tell you that my RC-1082 is silver.

In your hemisphere, it may in fact be silver actually sounds better than black.

Visually more appealing...I had to give it to 15-series. And they seem to coordinate better with other brands overall. However, in terms of uniqueness and cool factor, I would have voted 10-series. Loved the handles and (supposed) heat sink fins up front.
