I'm considering bi-amping, and am looking for replies from people who have tried, with or without success. Positives? Negatives? Do's, and dont's?

I'm bi amping my mains and it really helpped to open up the sound stage. There's really not much to passive bi amping simply split the signal and send it to two seperate amps...just make sure to remove the metal plate on your speakers input cup 8O

I was considering bi-amping with 2 - 5 channel amps, that are identical. I would like to just to do my fronts for the time being, but I'm worried about using different amps, due to different outputs..I am currently using an RB-985. Any suggestions?Comment

While i'm looking for amp solution for my HTM3S, i found out this types of biamping.. .Can somebody explain me what is vertical and what is horizontal bi amping?

I hace recently purchased the RSX1055 and was wondering about bi-amping to my speakers.
My speakers are Krix Lyrix ( Aussie speakers) and are rated at 89db into 4 ohms. They are a twin bass driver and a soft dome tweeter. Would you recommend biamping?

Hi Guys,
I am thinking of biamping my mains . I run a RSX1065 and want to purchase another power amp biamp my fronts.
Can I use the 1065 to power the HF drivers and the poweramp to power the LF drivers? ( I am hoping to get away with a 2 channel amp

I have read two conflicting arguements on the best way to bi amp your system.
The first is that the amps should be matched (same brand and similar power), and the second that the amps should match the speaker driver.
Both make sense to me, yet how do you achieve both?

Hi guys, I would imagine that when bi amping one should ideally use 2 amps of equal output.
So my question is, what effects would occurr if using 2 amps of different output eg say 250 watt amp for bass drivers and
say 125 watt amp for tweeter/mids
...
