    RA-1062 keeps blowing fuses

My Rotel RA-1062 stopped working in standby, nothing playing, just was dead in the morning.

It keeps blowing the fuses F603 and F604 when I switch it on. Those next to the toroidal transfomer. They blow immediately no speaker or input attached.

Any chance to get the service manual anywhere?

    Pretty sad. Any advice appreciated.

    Happy New year.

Hi Christian - did you post this question over in diyAudio? Someone there had the same question.

Thanks got the service manual now. These are the fuses for the transformer output, going to the relay and then to the rectifier. Since no one has any suggestions I guess I 'll start switching parts. Looks like someone with a 1069 has the same problems.

I found that the output transistor Q902 2SB631K-EF is shot. A $6.20 part. The power output transistors seem to run very hot judging from the discoloration surrounding them. Hope that's all. Thanks to c2cthomas for help (through the diyaudio forum)

          RB-991 keeps blowing main fuse
          by kingwilliam
          Hi all...

The problem: My RB-991 blew its main 12-amp fuse the other day (the fuse you can easily change from the back). I tried 10-amp fuses, but blew three in a row. No other components or speakers were hooked up to the amp. I unplugged the amp from the wall before swapping fuses....

Rotel RB-1080 power amp keeps blowing fuses, I have B&W Matrix 802 Series 3 speakers
          by david cro
I recently bought a pair of B&W Matrix 802 Series 3 speakers on eBay and powered them with an Yamaha 3090 integrated amp. After a few months I decided to upgrade my Amplifier to Rotel Pre/Power and got RSP-1068, RMB-1075 and the RB-1080 (at Rotel's recommendation to power my B&Ws) I don't particularly...

          Hello all,

..new to this forum, happy to see so many folks enthused about the Rotel equipment.

I have a RB-870 which is blowing the rail fuses on the Left channel. I can't think of anything in particular to have caused it... the unit has been working flawlessly for 25...
