Ht Bypass For Rc 1550 Pre Amp

I have a Rotel RC 1550 Pre Amp and was wondering is it possible to add a HT
Bypass switch/filter,because I use the pre outs from my AVR to the Pre amp
and both volume levels have to be set very high during playback.I know the RC 1580 has this function.

All that is needed is a fixed gain. You can implement this electronically if you so adept. Alternatively, you can pick a relatively high VC point for this particular input and put a mark on the front panel to which you will set the VC when you use it for HT bypass. This is easiest and most precise if you have a stepped VC.

Or use a separate A-B line level switch on the inputs to your power amp...
