    Hmmm

Try a thin sheet of high density foam between the CD player and the speaker... Can help reduce the vibrations without damaging the wood surface of the speakers.

vibrapods (or something similar) would also be your friend.

I put them on my center channel that (without them) sent a bunch of noise through the wall to the point where it sounded like the speaker was in the other room. Just adding a set of vibra pods, now I can not hear the speaker AT ALL in the other room.

Definitely get something that dampens vibrations and you'll be amazed at the imaging of your CDP afterwards (that's what I noticed the most).

Exploring Common DIY Terminology - Damping Factor

        Damping Factor

The damping factor is a measure of the amplifier's ability to control the movement of a loudspeaker's voice coil and bring it to a stop after the audio signal has stopped. It quantifies an amplifier's ability to provide an electrical damping effect on the speaker. Mathematically, the damping factor is defined as the ratio of the loudspeaker's nominal impedance (typically 4 or 8 ohms) to the output impedance of the amplifier. It is usually expressed as a number, such as...
