    DAC with new Rotel?

    Greetings,
I am most likely going to replace my RSX1056 with one of the newer Rotels.

Do I need to consider a external DAC?
I am running airport express lossless files into my RSX1056 out to B&W CM2's and it sounds pretty darn good.
But I have been reading about DAC and I wonder if it's worth the effort in my set-up.

What's the quality of the internal dac in the Rotels?

Rotel receivers usually have pretty good DACs in them. If you like the RSX1056, you will probably like the newer gear as well.

Are the Burr-Browns confirmed for the 15 series?

I'm asking to see if anyone has gone from an rsx1056 to the newer models like the 1058.Was it or is it worth it.I'm kind of on the fence my self since i was debating on adding an amp to my setup but wonder if money would be better spent in upgrading the rsx1056 instead.throwing a line out to see what...

Alright can someone help me out here.

I am making the venture into SACD and DVD-A and I am looking at getting a Denon 2900 DVD Player. The DVI Video of this is supposed to be amazing and it also supports SACD and DVD-A.

I am also looking into Purchasing a Rotel 1056 at...

sent my brother my old headphone amp with a usb dac. He has a newer mac laptop and states there is no audio coming out. This amp uses the Ti PCM2706 so no drivers are needed...
Anything cute that the mac needs done to it so this can work?

The Calliope uses the DA25TX; we've used that in several designs. It's a real bargain in the performance/cost ratio; it's drawbacks are mainly the large size and flimsy front plate- I've actually dissembled these on occasion and epoxied two front plates together and re-assembled the tweeter with one...
