New pre/pro fro my Rotel D class

    Hallo,

    I have a system with 2x RB1092 (1x L + R / 1x SL + SR) and a RB1091 for center. Speakers B&W803D, Htm2D, rear 805S, sub. 750.
    Plasma Kuro Pioneer 50" fulHD.

At today I like see the new Bluray or HD (if possible) and my Rsp1068 is not the "Best" for the new sound decoding (DDplus,DTS Master Audio)
I search a valid new pre/pro to have more enjoy with the highdefinition movies.
Waiting the a new Rotel Rsp1099? - Go with Denon or so like thath - buy a
    Rsp1069 and a processor DVDO30/50.

Only one problem: to have a upgrade (piece to piece) go to new very high end (Classè, MC,..) --> at firts the SSP800 and than replace the Rotel Ice power with Classè CA5200.3200 or so like that..

I don't like the Halcro preampli and if I think at McIntosh power ampli I don't see a valid pre/pro for the MC with the new sound decoding....

    Please opinion.

    Greetings from Switzerland

There is the Onkyo and the Integra pre-pros. Your other option is to wait for the Sony bdp s550 which is supposed to decode everything and send it via analogs.

              DVD & pre/pro pairing
              by jazznsoccer
Ok - I've looked at DVD players and the best one out there seems to be the Denon 5900. However, this DVD player seems to be so good that I should bypass all of my pre/pro circuitry and just analog bypass on to my amp. Now the question is why should I buy a high end pre/pro (such as Rotel 1098) to go...

              Pre/Pro and HDMI importance?
              by 2channellover
I'm just jumping back into HT (component video was considered the best connection, since I've been in the market) and I've started looking at moderately priced pre/pro units (namely Rotel). The big negative seems to be dated component connectivity, specifically lack of 1.3 HDMI ports, or in some cases...

My RSP-1066 got zapped :E in a lightening storm (came thru the cable box). The cost to repair it is prohibitive given that they are valued at about $600 these days.

Sadly, I’m disappointed in Rotel’s current pre/pro offerings. Specifically, no support for HDMI 1.3 or the new hi-rez...

              Hi all,

I've just seen this new pre/pro released by Rotel a couple of days ago. I understand this past March/April it was released. I've looked for any reviews but came up empty. Does anyone know of any reviews on this new pre/pro they can share? It looks like a really nice piece of gear....
