Is the RSX1057 bi-amp-able? Since it has 5x75 watts, I'm wondering if I can bi-amp the fronts and rears to B&W 805S and use Hafler amp that I have in storage to amp the rears. Thanks.

Set up the 1057 as normal, driving 5 speakers, drive the high inputs on the B&Ws with the Rotel, use the preouts from the front channels to feed the Hafler, remove your jumpers from the B&Ws and drive the low pass section from the Hafler and there you go.
It may in all likelyhood not sound balanced, depending on the gain differences between the Rotel and Hafler though.Main System

An average receiver amp section and a mediocre power amp are not a recipe for better sound. Your Rotel will sound better by itself than going the biamp route as you set out. Save up for a real good power amp and then you should get some improvement in sound quality.- Bottom

Thanks, everyone, for your expert input.
Now, if I were to get a 5-channel amp, can I then use 4-channels to bi-amp my mains, use the fifth to drive center, and use the amp section of 1057 to drive rears and perhaps use the remainder to amp second room? or am I complicating thing too much?- Bottom

by mtlrxHi everyone, first post. I am wondering if it's worth biamping the HTM2d. I will be getting 802d and want to biamp them with Bryston 6b(3 channel) 300w/channel amps but wondering if it's worth biamping the HTM2D. If I do biamp the HTM2D I will get another 6b or should I just get a 4b(2 channel) also...-

by augerproSay I had built those Dayton 3way speakers and used one of those biamping jacks where you can biamp or run normally. Will running biamped screw up the functioning of the crossover? From what little I've learned so far the components in a 3way (particularily) "react" with each other quite a...-

by TacoI posted a question here not long ago about biamping my B&W 802's with my 1095 and a new 1080. Someone made the suggestion to see how I liked biamping from my 1095 before purchasing the 1080. Well,
I finally got around to trying it by using my L and R and L Rear and R rear on my 1095 to...-

by Jesse111Curious. Why does Abbey Roads passive biamp their 800D's if there is little to know benefit?
The vast majority of experienced folks as well as the data seems to support little to know benefit. Does Abbey just like to promote the B&W network of gear or is the 800D ohm'd out and designed...-
