    Newbie Help

Hi everyone, first let me say that I'm happy to be a Rotel owner but still very new to this equipment. I currently own a RMB 1095 which I purchased in 2002 new and a RSP 1066. These two items have less than 12 hours of use on them. They have been packed in their original boxes for the last 5 to six years due to personal reasons. I'm going to need a shit load of sugestions and advice on setting this eqipment back up because its been so long since I even looked at this eqipment. I read somewhere that there is software upgrades for the 1066? Also I am in the middle of making a deal for a RB 1090 for my music mainly. Can my 1066 accomidate both amps? Also what would you suggest for power condioners and cables? I am open to ANY suggestions or advice to get me going. Thanks. Stage1.

Quick reply for one of your questions : yes, the 1066 can acommodate both amps through the pre-out connections. I assume you want the 1090 for the fronts and the 1095 for the remaining 5 channels of a 7.1 home theater. In fact, an excellent set !

Power conditioners I would recommend the Rotel RLC-1040 or 1080; or the APC equivalent.

Software is available for the 1066. Hold down the MUTE button and see what version it says you have. The latest versions 1.50 or 2.26 is available at the Rotel website, as well as instructions on how to upload it.

As far as cables, we have to limit the discussion since this wonderful club/forum is owned by and supported by Catcables. That said, I haven't seen anyone not pleased with their Catcable purchase and you will get a much better cable for the money.

            Cat Cables

You have some great equipment. So do I to include the 1090 which I love. I got the Silver Kingcats from Cat Cables [which is their best] and am awed by their sound. They won't break your wallet either. I highly recommend them.

              DVDA/SACD Connections to 1066
              by Mike Hayes
I am considering purchasing a Pioneer 563A ($180) universal player to replace my Toshiba SD5700. I am currently using just the digital connection (not using the 5 analog cables for DVDA). This will be my first experience with DVDA/SACD in conjunction with my 1066 so please bear with me.

              Hello.

Just noticed this forum the other day. Great idea and people seem very knowledgeable.

I am upgrading to a Rotel system. Last week I purchased the RB 1090 amp to drive my PSB Stratus Golds. It is a great amp which sounds wonderful and looks great in silver. It reminds...

              by garethk
              I have a Rotel RB 1090, RMB 1075 and RSP 1066.
WIll stacking these one on top of the other cause any damage to the 1090 on the botton?

I read the User Guides, but they dont mention anything.

With the large feet under the 1075, it seems like there is enough space...
