    Rotel RB980BX Amplifier Voltage Gain

Does anyone happen to know what the RB980BX' voltage gain is?

I have another amp with a 30 db (31.5%) voltage gain. Would like to bi-amp if similar.

    Hi there,

The voltage gain of this amp is also 30dB, so it should be suitable for bi-ampling. 8)

    All the best.
    Best regards,

      Great Budget Combo....
I used to be a stero junkie, must have owned 25-30 different stereo systems always looking for that perfect sound. That was until I found Rotel and specifically the RB980BX poweramp (which goes ever so well with my Newform Research Ribbon speakers). This setup met all...

      Simple gain circuit...electronic gurus needed
      by augerpro
I was looking at building a simple gain circuit for use in a biamped 3way to to match the woofer level with the mid/tweet due to baffle step. The rest of the XO would be passive. So a active/passive hybrid. This circuit would be placed between the preamp and the amp. So I check Linkwitz's site and found...

RB-1090 loses 6.5 db gain when used with XLR ?
      by zeiter
Any reason the RB-1090 or RB-1080 ( I use both for Bi-amping ) drop about 6.5 db in voltage gain, when I used their balanced XLR over RCA inputs ? I was told by a person on another forum that the main reason is probably because it's not a true separate balanced design. circuit. Is that true ? Than...

I have a SERIOUS appreciation for high voltage now
      by Amphiprion
This is aimed at those among you who have not worked with high voltage, but are thinking about projects like tube amps and such. ALWAYS HAVE SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING WATCH OVER YOU. Never ever start out on this alone. I'd heard this from others before on another DIY site but never had an...
