    Which Rotel DVD player where?

I have a RDV-1050 and an almost unused RDV-1080. I built a theater and was wondering which one to put in the theater. The theater has a Runco projector, Proceed preamp. I am leaning towards RDV-1080 in the theater because I think I paid more money on this one few years ago and also the other one is silver and goes with the RSP-1055 which is in the family room.
Will I get pic quality as good as with RDV-1080 as with the 1050?
    Thanks

I would hate to say it, but the 1050 will probably give you a better picture if you're running straight to the projector.

That said which model Runco do you have and do you have the Runco external scaler or another scaler? If so either player will probably give you the same image if you left progressive scan off.

I have a Runco IDP980 (8" CRT) projector which has served me well since 1996. Wish I could say the same for my Faroudja LD 100 line doubler, which was great for anamorphic DVDs but now has completely died on me. Living in Brazil now, which means buying fancy new DLP projector is not an option...

Suggestions to replace a Runco VX-1c dlp?
      by JayM
We built a home theater three years ago (our first) and among the componentry installed was a single-chip Runco dlp (a VX-1c), which has been a nightmare from a reliability standpoint from day 1. It has spent more time with the installer and Runco than in our theater, with the result that at last logging...

I have the RDV1080 DVD player - which in my oppinion is a nice player, but have (at least) one serious fault.. They forgot to put in two analog outputs for Right and Left channel and ditto for two coax digital outputs.

Does anybody know if I can just add more phono plugs in the back of...

I´m having a hard time finding information & especialy reviews/test of the RDV-1050 dvd player.

I have already ordered the RSP-1068 & RMB-1075 & it would be nice to have a matching dvd player.

But i´m a bit concerned about the quality of rotel´s dvd players....

I haven't posted in a long time because I have been so happy with the gear I purchased in 2004 with the help of some of you. I live in NYC and space in my apartment is at a premium. To make the best use of my limited space, I used wall mounted speakers. Thus, in my home theater (f/k/a as a dining...
