I just replace my B&W603s3/lcr600 with system audio sa1750 and sa720 center.Originally had the crossover in my receiver for the B&W at 60 for the 603s3 and lcr600.The specs for the 603's were freg resp. 44hz-22khz,90 db and 8ohm,crossover freg. 150hz,4khz.The system audio specs are shown as freg. resp. 40hz-40,000hz,90db and 4-8ohm,crossover freg. 700/3000hz.The way the specs are descibed for the SA's has me a little confused being everything is hz vs hz-khz apparently they dont use khz.So i'm a little confused as to where to set my crossover on my reciever for the SA's.Shoud i leave it where it is at 60 or should i do 80 or even take it down to 40.I would appreciate anyone with knowledge on this stuff help me out here.As it is i dont understand the freg specs.

The specs given are for the internal crossover's and have nothing to do with where you should set the sub crossover.
Given the similar low end roll off, I would leave it where you had it.

thanks, but i was actually trying to see what i should set the crossover in the receiver for the main speakers to not the sub.Maybe i will just leave it where i had the B&W's set to.Comment

Since the stated frequency response is very similar on the low end (44Hz vs 40Hz) for both speakers just keep it the same as Kevin stated.

According to Dickason, the general rule of thumb (of course there are exceptions) for the lower crossover limit for midrange and tweeters is to be at least 2x the FS of the driver, 3-4x is even better.

Have the crossover and measurements for the Arvo Part Type 3's (esp. the ones with 830883s) been documented anywhere? I've looked, but can't find them.

I recently purchased a REL sub Q150E to go with my 2 channel Rotel/Axiom system (see below my system). I use High-pass level connection in my sub, but I don't seem to set the crossover in the sub right.
