    RSP-1098 Phono Input ?

Can I input my turntable to the tape input on the RSP-1098 or do I need a phono amp?

    Thank you.

You need a phono preamp. Rotel has one, the RQ-970. It's quite good for the money ($200.00 US) and can be used with both MM and MC cartridges.

Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring
production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid.

Just released. Good news for all of us. I'm still waiting on some other things that should be out about now, like the ZCD. Keep it up, Parasound! It's too bad that I don't use vinyl myself.

          9.1 Phono Hum and upgrade
          by Punkuk
I have a 9.1 but using the phono input is imposable due to the hum.
I don’t think it is a ground loop as I have:
Disconnected everything but the phono input
Turned off all other power in the house except the power circuit for the Hi Fi
Used an MIT Z-Isolator for the power...

Graphic Equalizer Connection to RSP-1582 for Phono
          by frank1203
Hi, I was trying to run my turntable / Phono through an older analog graphic equalizer from my RSP-1582 and it won't equlaize the sound. I realize the RSP has a Phono Pre-Amp built into it but I would think I should still be able to equalize the sound coming out of the phono. I think I made the proper...
