    pre/amp/TT help

I have a Rotel RC1090 pre, RB1092 amp (500w/ch) and a Rega P5 TT with the optional TTPSU (power supply). On the pre, 7 o'clock position is '0' and the 5 o'clock position is '10'. When I get the volume to about the 10 o'clock position I get feed back through the tonearm. What is a good solution here for the problem? My TT is about 15 feet from my speakers (N804 & ASW800). Any suggestions welcomed.

      Tonearm adjustment for Rega P1
      by kmak
      Hi,
I'm finding I have to gingerly lift the tonearm off the LP on some slightly warped albums that I own. The lever doesn't give enough clearance. Is there an elevation adjustment?
      Thanks,
      Ken

      Pre-amp Modification Review
      by wkhanna
The following is a rather winded review of the effects resulting from the modifications that were recently finished on my nearly 30 year old Carver C-19 tube hybrid pre-amp with a built-in phono pre-amp.

Tom is the owner of the shop and creator of the modification specifications. He is...

      Marchand PR41 Passive Pre-amp
      by ThomasW
First off let me say that this product is too weird.

      1)NO power cord
      2)NO off/on switch.

How's it supposed to work :?

And what do they mean by "passive"? My old Sony TA-E90ES pre-amp is "passive" too, unless you touch it, it just...

Should extra consideration be given to DAC's which can act as a pre amp?
      by Jeff
There has been much discussion about DAC lately, which I like. As a result I'm narrowing my DAC considerations.

Should extra consideration be given to those DAC's which can be connected directly to the amp? Would connecting it to a separate (additional) pre amp be less desirable?...

Mic Orientation When Measuring @ Listening Position
      by jim1961
When taking measurement at the listening position, do you guys:

      1) Point the mic strait ahead
      2) Point the mic directly at the speaker
      3) Position the mic so its receiver is where your ear is
      4) Other (please explain)
