Hooking up TT to B&K REf 30...

I just ordered a Music Hall MMF 5 that will eventually be incorporated into my totally analog tube stereo system, but since the speakers are not going to be ready for quite some time (DIY Lowther folded horn thingys) I want to be able to listen while I wait.

I picked up a phono preamp from Radio Shack for moving magnet tt, which is what the MMF-5 is. I'm assuming I should be able to just plug it into an available slot on the Ref 30 correct?

Never mind...it WAS in the manual under the FAQ. The answer is yes!

B&K also has what seems to be a very cool AtoD processor that may be just the ticket to recording all those LPs to CD!

    Gotta read that owner's manual!

If you're going to go LP to CD, make sure you set output to 16bit/44.1 kHz.

A question about the Ref 20
        by MannyE
Was the Ref 20 also supposed to be upgradable as is the Ref 30?

If so...now that the 30 has been on the market for quite some time, have they received an upgrade?

I am very interested in the answer to this question, especially if the 20 was advertised with the same "upgrade"...

        hooking up 1056 to 1075
        by loup
So I have the rsx-1056 and rmb-1075 coming in about a week from now. I have the polk Lsi15, LisC speakers which are bi-wired. What I'm thinking of doing is hooking the surround to the 1056, the center to the 1075 center channel. I 'm thinking of hooking the fronts like this since its bi-wired. One...

        NuForce Ref 9's
        by gostan
After demoing various amplifiers over the past year, I made the decision to upgrade to the NuForce Ref 9's, which were delivered this past Friday. I thought that I would post my initial impressions as this product is rather new and has been the subject of some interesting responses on the two existing...
